Dining Room Set
I'm switching out my current dining room set for this one. It's smaller and fits in my space better. I'm not sure what I'm going to store in the bottom. Wine bottles, napkins, placemats, tablecloths, salt & pepper make sense. It's counter height, so it can serve as a kitchen island in future homes.
Here we go again.
My BS detector went off on this Boulder, CO "mass shooting." I've had so much practice at spotting the signs, I only have to see a few photos or one "interview" and I can instantly tell if it's real or not. This one is fake.
Sigh. Now that Trump is out of office, the fake mass shootings have started up again. They certainly haven't wasted any time.
Cue the anti- AR-15 rhetoric and legislation...
Yeah, I thought so.
It is my belief that ALL of the tech giants--Microsoft, Amazon, Google, Facebook, Twitter--would not be tech giants were it not for the help of The Powers That Be (hereinafter referred to as The Powers). We would never have heard of any of these companies, let alone their CEOs, without BIG money--courtesy of The Powers--being thrown at these fledgling startups. In some cases, The Powers actually created the companies or their assets and in other cases, the companies were startups and later financed by The Powers.
So forget what you've heard about these "garage startups." It's BS. You do not create a powerful monopoly without The Powers' express permission and assistance (aka control). Not in the United States in the 21st century.
Google's search engine was created by DARPA, a government agency. How did it end up in the hands of Google? And how did Google become one of the most powerful companies in the world? You tell me. It certainly wasn't because of the clueless nerd of a CEO with the deer-in-the-headlights perma-face.
That movie about Zuckerberg's "genius" which resulted in Facebook...complete BS. (When an expensive movie is made to cement a garage-to-riches-practically-overnight fairytale, be suspicious.) We all know that Zuckerberg stole the software from a set of frat boys (the "twins"). By his own account, he's a lousy programmer. He also admitted in at least one interview that they were "approached by some people" who wanted to invest in their little startup, and that he wished they had just said no and remained small. Hmmm...And I guess it's just a crazy coincidence that the Pentagon cancelled its highly controversial (and unconstitutional) LifeLog project, which was designed to keep track of every American--their friends, family, hobbies, interests, political attitudes--on the same day that Facebook (which tracks your friends, family, hobbies, interests, political attitudes) was incorporated.
I researched Bezos looking for that deep state and/or government tie. The fairytale he tells is that he and his wife started Amazon out of--you guessed it--their garage. According to his wikipedia page, he's a self-made genius.
I knew there was more to that story. Nobody gets as big as Amazon without The Powers. I poured over his wikipedia page and no government tie or powerful contacts stood out. It mentions that his maternal grandfather was the regional director of the US Atomic Energy Commission, but that's not the smoking gun I needed.
Then I saw this video, and aha! I found the connection. His grandfather wasn't JUST the regional director for the AEC; he also worked with the Pentagon and worked with DARPA. DARPA created the internet. Bingo. Garage startup, my ass.

These tech giants, with their HUGE impact on commerce and culture, as well as their negative impact on free speech, are government/deep state projects posing as private businesses. The government can get away with a LOT more--like unconstitutional censoring of free speech--when they pose as private business. Just saying.
